The #MaskerKainUntukSemua movement is initiated by the President's Special Staff for the Young Task Force along with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. One of its main goals is to raise awareness among the public about the importance of cloth masks in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

According to many health journals, cloth masks are said to be able to prevent 50-70 percent of virus transmission, compared to not using masks at all.

"The #MaskerKainuntukSemua movement is a complementary movement to #Dirumahaja and #JagaJarak. Why should we wear masks? Because it's possible that we or others have been infected but show no symptoms, so we feel healthy and potentially transmit it to others," said President's Special Staff Ayu Kartika Dewi.

4. Encouraging SMEs to Produce Cloth Masks

Meanwhile, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki said that Kemenkop and SMEs are encouraging businesses and cooperatives to produce cloth masks.

"We see the opportunity for the capabilities of cooperatives and SMEs to produce PPE or personal protective equipment, including masks for the community without disrupting the availability of PPE for medical personnel," he said.
