Fuji is Satisfied with the 2.5-Year Sentence for Her Former Manager in the Embezzlement Case

Fujianti Utami Putri, more commonly known as Fuji, responded regarding the verdict in the embezzlement case involving her former manager, Batara Ageng.

In the trial held at the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (12/11/2024), the panel of judges found Batara guilty of embezzlement. The West Jakarta District Court sentenced Batara Ageng to 2 years and 6 months in prison.

He was proven to have committed the crime of embezzlement as regulated under Article 374 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to violations related to embezzlement against parties with a work relationship.

"The court finds the defendant Batara Ageng guilty of embezzlement against someone with whom he had a working relationship. I sentence you to 2 years and 6 months in prison," said the presiding judge of the West Jakarta District Court during the hearing on Tuesday (12/11/2024).

After the trial, Fuji, who was present at the hearing, expressed her satisfaction with the decision. According to her, the legal process that proceeded quite quickly has provided the justice she hoped for.

"The verdict has been announced, thank God everything went quickly, and I am quite satisfied with the result," said Fuji.

Fuji hopes that the sentence will have a deterrent effect on Batara, who has been seen as violating the law with his actions. Even though she lost a significant amount of money, Fuji now chooses to let go and focus on continuing her career.

"Money can be earned again, but justice, once it's done, is done. Money can be earned again, Insya Allah," said Fuji.

The loss experienced by Fuji from the embezzlement amounted to Rp1.3 billion. However, she felt relieved after the legal process she hoped for went smoothly and received a verdict she considered fair.

From this incident, Fuji admitted to being more cautious in establishing work contracts with others. She is also stricter in supervising her team's work. In fact, together with her new manager, Fuji is more assertive in controlling the flow of funds to avoid similar incidents.

"Since that incident, I have been much more careful in monitoring the team, much stricter as well, so I really pay attention to the details of expenses and income," Fuji revealed.
