The TOYP program not only appreciates achievements in the academic field but also awards innovation and contributions in various sectors, such as technology, human rights advocacy, and community development. Candidates for the TOYP can be nominated in one of the ten specified categories, including the economic sector, education, politics, cultural preservation, natural conservation, child protection, global peace, humanitarian action, advancements in science and technology, personal development, and health innovation.

It should be noted that each candidate is only allowed to compete in one category. Risa, who was selected as one of the TOYP 2024 award recipients, expressed her surprise as she did not expect to be included in the Top 10 list.

"I was truly surprised to be selected as part of the Top 10 TOYP 2024. The selection process started from nominations by JCI Indonesia, and then it was narrowed down to 5 people to be submitted for the international competition," said Risa Santoso as reported by Merdeka.com on Friday (15/11).

2. Becomes the 3rd Person to Receive the International TOYP Title

This proud achievement positions Risa as the third individual from Indonesia to receive the Ten Outstanding Young Persons award from JCI. This accomplishment further strengthens her position among young figures in Indonesia who have made significant contributions in their fields.

Previously, two young Indonesian figures have made their mark at the TOYP event, namely Aburizal Bakrie who was awarded in 1986 for his success in business. Then, there is Seto Mulyadi, better known as Kak Seto, who received recognition in 1987 for his dedication as a child psychology expert.

3. Recognized for Her Dedication in the Field of Education

Risa Santoso, the youngest educational figure leading the ASIA Malang Institute of Technology and Business, has been awarded the TOYP award in the fields of Leadership and Academic Achievement. This achievement reflects her dedication to transforming education by integrating digital technology and the spirit of entrepreneurship. She is also actively creating opportunities for Indonesian students to participate in student exchange programs, faculty exchanges, and internships, by building strategic partnerships with companies and international universities.

As an alumni recipient of the LPDP scholarship who is now active as a speaker and panel member of the LPDP Roadmap to 2045, Risa continues to expand her international network through collaboration with educational institutions and global corporations.
