Gofar Hilman Reveals Four-Eyed Conversation with Didi Kempot Before Passing Away

Their closeness developed after Gofar visited Didi and invited him to appear on the off-air show Ngobam. His efforts to meet the campursari maestro all the way to Solo apparently made Didi very happy.

After that day, their closeness grew even stronger. According to Gofar, Didi Kempot would not want to be interviewed on television if he wasn't there.

"He always says he doesn't want to be interviewed on TV if I'm not there. That's why I'm always invited to TV shows when he's there," he said when contacted on Tuesday (5/5/2020).

1. Success After Appearing on 'Ngobam'

Gofar revealed that there was a significant difference in Didi Kempot's career before and after he appeared on Ngobam. The singer of the song Cidro stated that the payment he received after appearing on Gofar's show was much larger than before.

"When I saw Mr. Didi, he told me face to face, 'Do you know how much my fee was before Ngobam? 25 million. Do you know how much it is now? 200 million,' he said it's all thanks to Mr. Gofar's blessings. I said, 'No, sir, you are the legend,'" added Gofar.

2. Doesn't Want to Be Called a Helper

Nevertheless, Gofar refused to be called someone who has helped Didi Kempot's career. He admitted that he organized Ngobam as a place for fun only.

"Many people say that I helped him grow, but I don't consider it that way. I did Ngobam just for fun," he continued.
