Hadn't Had the Chance to Collaborate, Kunto Aji Remembers the Project Plans with the Late Gusti Irwan Wibowo

Kapanlagi.com - The death of Gustiwiw at the age of 25 shocked many, including musician Kunto Aji. He was one of the friends who attended the funeral of the content creator and young musician at TPU Jati Sari, Bekasi, West Java, on Sunday (15/6/2025).

Kunto Aji admitted that he received the news of Gusti's death suddenly through a message in their friends' group. He emphasized that there were no signs of illness that Gusti had experienced before.

"I found out through the group," said Kunto Aji.

The sense of loss was even deeper because Kunto had actually planned a collaboration with the deceased. Although the idea had been discussed, they did not have the chance to realize it as they had not met yet.

1. Two Weeks Ago

"Yes, that's the problem, we haven't had the chance. We actually wanted to create something, we've talked about it, but we haven't had the chance to meet," said Kunto.

He last met Gusti about two weeks before his departure, at an event they both attended. Although they did not discuss serious matters, that meeting now remains an unforgettable memory for Kunto.

"Last time we met? About two weeks ago," he said briefly.

According to Kunto, Gusti was someone who was not only known in one circle. The late individual was active in various communities, ranging from music, stand-up comedy, to digital content, and was easily accepted across different groups.

"He could be anywhere. Ethically he was also good, he was a nice person," praised Kunto Aji.

2. A Great Loss

He considers Gusti's departure to be a great loss for the creative industry. Although still very young, the late individual had already left a positive impact and became a role model among young artists.

"At the very least, he has planted very good seeds, to be an example for the new generation," he said.

Kunto also conveyed prayers and support to the family left behind, and invited the public to continue to remember Gusti through his works that can still be enjoyed.

3. Works and Goodness

"We as friends pray for the best for Gusti," said Kunto with teary eyes.

He added that the best legacy to remember Gusti by is his works and goodness during his lifetime. This is seen as a way to continue celebrating Gustiwiw's existence in society.

"There are many ways to remember him. Especially with his extraordinary works. With his goodness, that is certainly our way to celebrate his presence in the world," concluded Kunto Aji.
