'HAIKYUU!! DUMPSTER BATTLE' Showing in Indonesian Cinemas, Check Out the Release Date

As one of the most popular Japanese anime in Indonesia, Haikyuu will be returning in the form of a film. After being rumored to continue to its fifth season, on September 24, 2023, Haikyuu officially released the trailer for its film titled HAIKYUU!! DUMPSTER BATTLE.

This film, directed by Susumu Mitsunaka, successfully garnered $6 million or equivalent to 9 billion Indonesian Rupiah on the day of its release in Japan. This achievement made it the fourth highest-grossing film in Japan's box office history.

1. Synopsis

This film tells the story of the journey of the Karasuno High School volleyball team and its main player, Hinata Shoyo, in reaching the pinnacle of volleyball competition in Japan.

The story begins when Hinata Shoyo, a very short but talented high school student in volleyball, sees an interesting volleyball match on television. He is inspired by the Little Giant, a legendary player who is also short but very talented. Although his height is not the best for volleyball, Hinata's spirit and determination are immense.

After graduating from middle school, Hinata joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team. However, in their first match in the national tournament, they suffer a crushing defeat against a strong team named Aoba Johsai. After that, Hinata swears to defeat the Little Giant and bring Karasuno back to the top of high school volleyball.

As time goes by, Hinata and his team face various obstacles, fierce competition, and emotional matches. They meet tough opponents and learn to grow as players and as a team. Along the way, they chase their dream of becoming the best in Japan.
