Handling the Desiree Case, Lawyer Hotma Sitompul Wants Hotman Paris Not to Talk Nonsense

Hotman is considered to have discussed personal matters. Therefore, the legal team of Hotma Sitompul plans to report Hotman Paris to Peradi and the Jakarta Metro Police. 

"So Hotman Paris keeps attacking, he's already out of legal context. I also don't like him challenging Hotma Sitompul," said Muara Karta, when contacted on Friday (9/4/2021).

"He speaks challengingly and invites Hotma to meet him wherever he's ready, that's not the words of a lawyer. That's why we have prepared a report to the police and Peradi regarding the code of ethics to report Hotman Paris," continued Muara Karta.

1. Hotma Sitompul's Legal Power of Attorney Will Report Desiree

Not stopping there, Hotma Sitompul's legal team also plans to report Desiree, who is a client of Hotman Paris.

"In addition, we also want to report his wife, Desiree, who filed reports that are all untrue," he said.

2. Hotman Paris Touches on Personal Matters

As a lawyer, Hotman Paris should speak according to what is entrusted by his client. Not directing towards the opponent's personal matters, such as discussing Hotma Sitompul's marriage. Muara Karya called Hotman Paris's statement as not in accordance with the facts.

"It means that if he accepts power of attorney from Bu Desi regarding the actions of her husband, Hotma Sitompul, who was said to have expelled and slandered by calling his wife an adulterer, I deny all of that. Now, when I deny all of that, Hotman Paris talks nonsense, he talks about his wealth, about Hotma Sitompul's three or four marriages. That is not Hotman Paris's business," said Muara Karta.

3. Mutual Accusations

According to Muara Karya, it is allowed for Hotman Paris to sue Hotma Sitompul, as long as it is still within the context of the case experienced by his client. 

"He should have dealt with the legal authority he received, if he wants to sue, just sue Hotma Sitompul. As the legal representative of my client, I wonder why I am also reported? I clarify what Hotma Sitompul said about his mother's land being taken one meter, and he did not actually experience eviction," he said.

"But it is true that he left the house. That's what I want to clarify to the media to correct the spread of news. But it turns out that I am also reported to the Metro Police, so I said 'Is Mrs. Desi going to report, report?' Because I can also report, not only Mrs. Desi can report.
