This couple has been in a relationship for 11 years before finally getting married. They have also been blessed with two handsome and cute children.
On the show Rumpi No Secret, Cherly Juno and Arthur shared their inter-ethnic love story. This is one of the biggest challenges in their relationship.
Cherly comes from a Chinese ethnic group, while Arthur is from the Batak ethnic group. "Usually, here, relationships between different religions are really difficult, and this, being from different ethnic groups, is even harder. It's actually very difficult," said Cherly Juno on Rumpi No Secret Trans TV, Tuesday (3/12/2024).
Cherly Juno shared that she initially did not receive approval from her husband's family. But with strong determination, this former Cherrybelle member flew to Pekanbaru to meet Arthur's family.
"But we really fought together, he also fought, I went to Pekanbaru to meet his family. There, we both convinced each other, he tried to convince that he could propose to me," she said.
With all the struggles they have gone through, Cherly and Arthur are now enjoying happiness in their household. The two even released a single titled Our Story, which depicts their love journey and is the dream they have envisioned since the beginning of their relationship.
