Heavily Criticized for 'Wandering' After Covid-19 Vaccination, Raffi Ahmad Clarifies and Apologizes

Kapanlagi.com - The first Covid-19 vaccination was carried out on Wednesday (13/1) yesterday. Besides President Jokowi, artist Raffi Ahmad also became one of the first people to receive the vaccine. He attended as a representative of the Millennials.

Raffi's name gained attention because only a few hours after the vaccination, he attended an event without adhering to health protocols with other artist friends. Raffi did not wear a mask and did not maintain distance.

1. Raffi Apologizes

Instant uproar occurred and Raffi apologized and provided clarification on Wednesday (14/1). Through his Instagram, he apologized to President Jokowi and his staff.

"Regarding the incident last night, where I was seen gathering with friends without masks and without maintaining distance, first of all, I apologize sincerely to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. @jokowi, the Presidential Secretariat, KPCPEN, and also to the entire Indonesian society for that incident," he wrote.

2. Pure Negligence

Rafathar's father then admitted that the incident was purely due to his own negligence. "Honestly, the incident last night was purely because of my negligence, because of my mistake," he continued.

Not only that, Raffi also revealed that health protocols were still being followed while there. He did remove his mask to eat.

3. Eating

"Last night, it wasn't in a public place, but in the private home of one of my friend's fathers. There, before entering the house, they followed the protocols. Inside the house, I happened to be eating without wearing a mask and someone took a photo," explained Raffi.

Previously, Raffi received harsh criticism from singer Sherina Munaf. Baskara Mahendra's wife immediately poked Raffi Ahmad and expressed her concern about Raffi's activities.

4. Sherina Criticizes

"Hello Raffi Ahmad, getting vaccinated doesn't mean you can go out and about in groups. You were chosen to be vaccinated early because you have many followers. For the same reason, please consistently set a good example. Please, you can do better than this. Your followers are counting on you," wrote Sherina on Instagram and Twitter.
