Heri Horeh finally speaks up about the news stating that he is still living in the house of Riyuka Bunga's mother. The comedian emphasizes that the house he occupies is a shared asset from his marriage with Bunga.
Heri explains that he has been living in that house for three years. He asserts that the house was acquired while he and Bunga were still married.
"It's not me who is living there, this is what I need to clarify. I've been there for 3 years, and that house was acquired during our marriage," said Heri Horeh at the Depok Religious Court, Monday (10/2/2025).
Heri also revealed that the mother of Riyuka Bunga just moved into that house in December 2024. According to him, Bunga is uncomfortable living with her mother for several reasons, so her mother chose to come to the house that Heri occupies.
"In December 2024, her mother came to my house. She said that while at her house, Bunga didn’t like it because her mother cooked a lot of smoke and everything. Bunga didn’t want to live with her mother, so she came to the house that I occupy now," he explained.
Heri also felt the need to clarify the assumption that he is staying at his in-laws' house. For him, that house is part of his journey in building a household with Bunga, and he feels entitled to that residence.
"So if it is said that I am staying at my in-laws' house, that's not true. Because that is the house that I have occupied during the marriage, and as far as I know and I am sure, I married Bunga from a really zero state, having nothing at all," he said.
Furthermore, Heri emphasized that the house is joint property in their marriage. According to him, legally there cannot be a unilateral claim regarding the ownership of that house.
"So what I know, according to the law, that is joint property that cannot be claimed, 'your property is mine, your property is mine'. It can't be, because that is joint property in the family," he asserted.
