His Face Appears on the Poster 'SI BUTA DARI GUA HANTU', Here's Iko Uwais' Response

Kapanlagi.com - Bumilangit Cinematic Universe, or Bumilangit Cinematic Universe is currently busy with various new projects. Recently, BCU announced that they will be working on their latest film in 2020, titled SI BUTA DARI GUA HANTU: MATA MALAIKAT

This latest film production from BCU will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto. Timo himself is known as an action film director, such as HEADSHOT and Original NETFLIX, THE NIGHT COMES FOR US

Regarding his new film, recently there has been fanart or fan-made art featuring Iko Uwais' face on the poster of the film SI BUTA DARI GUA HANTU: MATA MALAIKAT. Seeing this, Timo, who has worked with Iko before, feels that this film will be extraordinary.

The movie SI BUTA DARI GUA HANTU: MATA MALAIKAT itself has not yet announced the list of its cast. And fans seem to hope that Iko Uwais can play Barda Mandrawata alias Si Buta.

Upon hearing that, Iko Uwais himself said that he is waiting for confirmation from Bumilangit and Screenplay. He does not want his statement to precede the two production houses.

"Well, I can't say yes or no yet. If I say no, it might turn out to be yes, and if I say yes, it might turn out to be no," said Iko Uwais when contacted by phone on Thursday (19/3).

"I prefer to wait until it's confirmed. You know me, whatever the project is, if it's good, then I can give my input," he continued.

2. Busy with SRI ASIH

In addition, Iko Uwais is currently busy with the project SRI ASIH which is planned to be released in 2020. In this film, Iko is responsible for choreography.

And right now, Iko wants to temporarily focus on the responsibilities given to him.

"Now we are in charge of the choreography for SRI ASIH, in terms of creativity. So, I am grateful to have a role here. It doesn't just mean being a stylist. What is important in an action film? It's not just about the looks or the dialogues, right? Especially since Bumilangit is a film with history, legends, and heritage," he explained.
