His Foster Child Experienced Sexual Abuse, Dean Desvi Reports to the Orphanage Foundation

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Dean Desvi speaks out about the report regarding the sexual abuse experienced by his foster child at the Darussalam An Nur Orphanage Foundation. Dean is one of the donors to the orphanage.

Initially, several children from the orphanage sent messages via social media (DM) to Dean. They then shared stories about the sexual abuse they experienced. Upon hearing these confessions, Dean felt called to help his foster child address this issue.

"I, Dean Desvi, feel called, besides working in entertainment, I am also an educator, I am also a teacher. In May, I received a DM on my Instagram reporting immoral acts, homosexuality, pedophilia, and sexual abuse," said Dean Desvi in the Thamrin area of Central Jakarta, Thursday (26/9).

From his foster child's confession, Dean discovered several names of those who committed the abuse. At least three names must be held accountable for these indecent acts.

"I understand how the orphanage operates, because I am also a donor. Some say the victims are from S, from Y, from A; there are allegedly three perpetrators reported to me," he said.

1. Initially Uncertain

Dean admitted that at first he was unsure about what the three individuals were doing. Until eventually, several victims who were his mentees approached Dean and told him directly.

"At first, I thought this was slander, I asked them to meet and they came to the school where I teach. They complained until they were overwhelmed and cried; there is a victim who is now in their 20s but has already experienced abuse since they were underage," Dean explained.

2. Report to the Police

From there, Dean did not remain silent. Feeling that he had strong evidence and grounds, along with his legal team, Dean immediately filed a report to the Metro Tangerang City Police with Report Number: LP/B/725/VII/2024/SPKT/Polres Metro Tangerang/Polda Metro on July 2, 2024. The results of the medical examination also provided evidence of sexual violence committed by the three suspects.

"The children have been examined and a report has been made; the victims have been examined and it has been proven that there was blunt force trauma to the anus," concluded Dean Desvi.
