Kapanlagi.com - Famous lawyer Hotman Paris has officially been reported to the Honorary Council of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) by Muara Karta and Partahi Sihombing, who are the legal team of Hotma Sitompul. They allege that Hotman Paris, as the legal representative of Desiree Tarigan, Hotma's wife, has violated the code of ethics for an advocate.
"What we are reporting are the violations committed by Hotman Paris against our client, Hotma Sitompul," said Partahi Sihombing, who was met at the Peradi office in Slipi, West Jakarta, on Monday (12/4).
Nevertheless, Partahi does not want to explain the points mentioned in the complaint. According to him, let it be the authority of the Peradi Honorary Council.
"If it's about the content, we are not allowed to disclose it here. I think later on, because we are supposed to adhere to the code of ethics, we should not be the ones who have reported someone for violating the code of ethics, but we ourselves are also considered to have committed a violation," he said.
"Because in the code of ethics rules, we are not allowed to expose the mistakes of fellow colleagues in detail," he added.
The feud between Hotma and Hotman is a result of Desiree Tarigan's domestic conflict. In this matter, Desiree, who claimed to be expelled by Hotma, asked to be accompanied by Hotman as her legal representative. To inform the public, Desiree and Hotman Paris held a press conference, and Bams' former Samson band vocalist's mother revealed the chronology of the eviction.
Not accepting his wife's statement, Hotma, accompanied by his legal team, also held a counter press conference. On that occasion, Hotma sarcastically referred to Hotman Paris as a transgender lawyer. Not only that, Hotma also criticized that Hotman Paris should not have opened up his marital problems with Desiree to the media.
