Husband Reveals the Secret of Mpok Alpa Staying Cheerful Despite Battling Cancer

The public knows Mpok Alpa as a comedian who is always cheerful and full of laughter. However, not many know that behind her smile lies a heavy struggle against cancer. Her husband, Adji Darmaji, also known as Idung, finally revealed the secret behind his wife's resilience.

According to Idung, Mpok Alpa deliberately did not publicize her illness for two main reasons. First, she did not want to burden others. Second, she was worried that she would become stressed if many people knew about her condition.

"That's why she didn't publicize that she was sick. If she did, first, I would be bothering people. Second, I would end up stressed," said Idung, mimicking the words of his late wife, when met at their home on Monday (18/8/2025).
