Indra Bekti Loses 12 Kg Due to Fatty Liver, Must Follow Strict Diet and Avoid Fried Foods

The new appearance of Indra Bekti lately has surprised many people. Looking much slimmer, this famous presenter has successfully lost 12 kilograms. Upon further investigation, this drastic change is not without reason, but rather triggered by a health 'warning' he experienced last April.

Bekti candidly shared the beginning of his diet journey. This always cheerful presenter admitted that it all started with a stomach issue that eventually led to a diagnosis of fatty liver, which became his turning point to start living healthier.

"Since April during Ramadan. It started when I had stomach issues and it turned out to be fatty liver. So from there it was a warning, Alhamdulillah, I finally tried to diet, eat healthily, eat good food. Alhamdulillah, I got this. I got slimmer, smoother, and thinner. From 78 kg now around 66 kg," said Indra Bekti when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Monday (4/8/2025).

To achieve his ideal body weight currently, the man affectionately called Bekti certainly has to go through a process that is not easy. He admits to focusing more on maintaining his diet rather than heavy exercise, because honestly, he is quite lazy to move.

"Yes, there are foods that are no longer fatty, no fried foods. Then mostly boiled foods that are eaten. Also, there are supplements that I take every morning and night. So fiber, more of that. Actually, I am lazy to exercise, so it's more about maintaining my diet. Exercise is important, yes, but not to the point of not doing it. I do exercise by walking in the mall," he said with a laugh.

Even though he is on a strict diet, Bekti has not completely eliminated rice from his daily menu. He still eats three times a day as usual, only the portions are reduced and there are strict rules he must adhere to. "I eat but the portions are not large, just a little bit," said Bekti.

This husband of Aldilla Jelita also has a fairly disciplined eating schedule to ensure his diet program runs smoothly. He emphasizes that his biggest enemy right now is fried food, which he tries to avoid as much as possible. "Three times a day still, in the morning eating bread, lunch eating rice as usual, as long as it's not fried food, no fried food," he said.

He also has a time limit for dinner so that his body has enough time to rest and process the food. According to Bekti, he should finish eating before it gets too late at night. "The last meal should be around 7 PM, yes. By 7 PM, I should be done," said Bekti.

Maintaining consistency amid temptation is certainly not easy, but Bekti has his own way to avoid stress. He admits to still making time for a cheating day on the weekends, although still with certain limits.

"The consistency is about taking care of ourselves, so we don’t forget or anything like that. But there is also a cheating day, so we don’t get stressed; if we’re on a diet but stressed, it shows on our face, the face becomes stressed, and it feels like we can’t eat this, can’t eat that, can’t eat this, so it’s better if I just relax. On Saturdays and Sundays, I still cheat a bit, but I still avoid fried foods. I really cut down on that," he explained.

This hard struggle has yielded sweet results, not only in terms of appearance but also overall health. He feels that his body is now much fitter and free from the health issues that used to haunt him.

"Yeah, my body feels better. And I also have high cholesterol and liver issues, so my intake really has to be right; I have to eat well, so it doesn’t happen again," he concluded.
