Kapanlagi.com - The departure of Marissa Haque, who had been the life partner of Ikang Fawzi for more than three decades, leaves a deep wound. This senior musician expressed how difficult it is to go through days without his wife's presence by his side. Ikang recounted the significant role that the late Marissa played in his life.
"It is very difficult. Because no matter what, she is my wife, her role is extraordinary. She played a very significant role in my life. In whatever process, she was always present," said Ikang, in an interview in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Monday (10/2/2025).
For Ikang, Marissa was not just a life partner, but also a figure who always supported him in everything. This loss has dealt a heavy blow to him, even though he tries to remain strong. "Yes, that's why there is wisdom that Allah has given us. With the promise that this is the best for all of us, especially for her," he said.
Even so, Ikang admits that accepting this reality is not easy. He feels his heart still aches every time he remembers Marissa.
"I have to accept it as it is. Yes, this heart aches a lot. But no matter what, this is a trial that I have to accept," said the 63-year-old man.
Ikang believes that every trial given by God surely brings goodness in the future. He tries to convince himself that what happened is part of the Divine plan.
"I believe and I have to force myself, to convince myself that I accept this. Later, there will surely be goodness that comes to me," he said with full conviction.
In addition, Ikang also feels that this loss helps him to get closer to God. He hopes that this trial can reduce his sins.
"And God willing, someday I can return," he added with hope.
Every corner of the house now serves as a reminder of the beautiful memories with Marissa. Ikang expressed that many moments of their togetherness always linger in his mind.
"Wherever, the room, in the house, especially. So, remembering her, I have realized that moving forward I need to affirm that," he explained.
Although this loss is heavy, Ikang continues to try to move on with the principles taught by his wife. Marissa's figure lives on in memories, prayers, and the works they created together.
For Ikang, this life struggle is part of a spiritual journey that strengthens him. Losing Marissa is not the end, but the beginning of a new process to accept and find meaning in life.
"This is my life, which I must live," Ikang concluded firmly.
