Joe Taslim's name has been rising after it was reported that he will return to play in the sequel of the film MORTAL KOMBAT. However, he is not the only Indonesian actor who has managed to penetrate the competitive international film industry. With talent, discipline, and unique character, several Indonesian actors and actresses have achieved similar accomplishments.

Yoshi Sudarso once starred in the film BULLET TRAIN which was released in 2022. In the film, he played a younger version of Elder, a character portrayed by Hiroyuki Sanada, and acted alongside Brad Pitt. Previously, Yoshi starred in POWER RANGERS DINO CHARGE as Koda, the Blue Ranger, and worked as a stuntman in major films such as THE MAZE RUNNER, AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., and ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL.

Yayan Ruhian gained international recognition after appearing as Mad Dog in the film THE RAID, which was released on March 21, 2012, in Indonesia and gained worldwide attention after its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. Yayan has also starred in various major films such as STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, BEYOND SKYLINE, and JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM. In the film BOY KILLS WORLD released in 2023, he plays a shaman and mentor to the main character portrayed by Bill Skarsgard.
