When met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Friday (2/8), Cinta explained that the recycling process in America is very organized.
"I collect that trash as part of recycling, yes. In America, you can't just throw away trash carelessly. In America, there are regulations; trash must be thrown in the same place, recycling, food waste goes here, tree waste goes here, like grass is separated," said Cinta Kuya.
Cinta also added that through the recycling program, the community can earn money from the collected trash. That is what Cinta utilizes to simply add to her pocket money.
However, the income earned from collecting trash is not large. But for him, the amount of money received is quite decent to save.
"Not that much, I usually have many friends stop by and I collect their trash including recycling, so at least it's about 20 USD, around 400 thousand if it's a lot, if it's a little like 10 to 15 USD," he explained.
Besides that, Americans usually place unused items in front of their houses, and those items are free for anyone to take. If lucky, Cinta can get good items.
"In America, there are people who no longer use items, they put them in front of their houses, and we can take them for free, we are not stealing or anything, there is a sign that says free take it," he explained.
