Inara Rusli Ready to Imprison Data Hackers, Report Advances to Investigation

The report that involves several parties has now officially progressed to the investigation stage after a case review on January 6, 2026. Inara Rusli returned to Bareskrim Polri on Thursday (08/01/2026) to undergo additional questioning as a reporting witness. Accompanied by her lawyer, Lechumanan, Inara provided more detailed information regarding the alleged hacking of her personal data.

"Today I am being questioned at Bareskrim for the illegal access case, and I am accompanied by my lawyer, Bang Lechumanan. And maybe Bang L can help explain the process," Inara said when met at Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, Thursday (08/01/2026).

1. Case at Investigation Stage

Lechumanan emphasized that the elevation of this case status to investigation shows the seriousness of the authorities. His party suspects that there is more than one perpetrator who has taken and disseminated Inara's personal data without proper permission for certain interests.

"So I need to explain this to you, friends, what is reported to Bareskrim is a case of illegal access. It has already moved from the investigation stage to the investigation stage. When did it move to the investigation stage? The case was presented on January 6th," explained Lechumanan.

2. The Beginning of the Case

This case began with the circulation of digital evidence that was allegedly obtained illegally and then used by another party. Inara feels very harmed because her privacy as a public figure and a mother has been arbitrarily violated.

The threat of punishment for the illegal access perpetrators is serious, namely over 5 years in prison. This allows investigators to detain the suspect if they are later established, given the heavy legal consequences.

"Hopefully justice can be upheld, without discrimination," added Inara briefly yet full of hope that justice will be on her side.

3. Request for No Intervention

Lechumanan also requested that there be no intervention in this case. He urged the Head of Criminal Investigation to oversee the legal process to ensure it proceeds transparently and objectively without pressure from any party.

Inara's party hopes that the perpetrator will be revealed soon and receive appropriate punishment. This case serves as a stern warning to anyone who tries to play with other people's personal data in the digital era.
