Inara Rusli's Lawyer Denies Adultery Allegations Despite Acknowledging a Marriage Ceremony

"So the question is just around that, and Inara also answered it, thank God, smoothly, honestly, with nothing hidden, nothing reduced, nothing exaggerated, and in accordance with the initial examination. That's it," said Daru Quthny after undergoing an examination at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, Friday (17/4/2026).

The Inara party firmly denies the adultery allegations made by the reporter with the initials M or Wardatina Mawa. Although it is acknowledged in the BAP that there was a religious marriage, they strongly deny having had relations like husband and wife. According to the legal team, the elements of the criminal offense of adultery are not fulfilled in this case.

The legal counsel explained that the definition of adultery in the reported article must involve physical intercourse. However, based on the client's confession, no intimate relationship occurred either before or after the religious marriage took place. This is the main defense of the Inara party before the investigators.

"So there is no evidence of adultery, like that," said Daru Quthny confidently in front of the media crew.

Regarding the video evidence brought by the reporter, the Inara side believes that the recording cannot be considered strong evidence. The CCTV footage submitted is deemed to have poor quality and does not show any immoral acts. They consider the video to merely display normal togetherness without any elements of legal violations.

This case began with a report from Wardatina Mawa, the legal wife of businessman Insanul Fahmi, who suspected the existence of an adulterous relationship between her husband and Inara Rusli. This issue became public after rumors of a secret marriage between Inara and Insanul spread. The police have elevated the status of this case to the investigation stage after finding indications of criminal elements.

Currently, Inara's status is still as a reported witness and there has been no determination of a suspect in this case. The legal representatives have also submitted a number of defense evidence to the investigators. They hope that the facts presented can dismiss the accusations that have been directed at the mother of three children.

So far, the legal process is still ongoing on the upper floor of the PPA Building at the Metro Jaya Police. Inara Rusli herself hopes that this issue can be resolved peacefully through a restorative justice process. However, the reporting party is reportedly still adamant about continuing this case to court.
