Inara Rusli's Party Urges Police to Establish Suspects in Illegal CCTV Access Case

The legal case involving Inara Rusli has entered a new chapter. Her attorney, Lechumanan, urged the Cyber Directorate of Bareskrim Polri to provide legal certainty regarding the report of alleged illegal access and the dissemination of personal data created by his client.

The report emerged after CCTV footage from Inara's residence was used in the process of proving a report of adultery filed by Wardatina Mawa. Feeling her privacy was violated, the former wife of Virgoun reported back to Bareskrim Polri.

"If we hold the criminal case first, waiting for the civil case. Because why? This is considered a pre-judicial dispute. And there is a civil dispute. That’s what I need to convey," said Lechumanan when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday (9/6/2026).

According to Lechumanan, the report submitted by Inara has escalated from the investigation stage to the inquiry stage. He believes that this status indicates that there is an alleged criminal act that has been found by the investigator."Well, this is the player, the police soap opera player as well. Because they have elevated the status of the investigation to an inquiry by the police," he said.

The lawyer expressed his surprise because until now there has been no determination of a suspect. In fact, according to him, the inquiry process is usually conducted after criminal elements are found in a case.

"In other words, the police have determined that there is a criminal event. Only then can the determination of the investigation be carried out. Well, until now, he has not wanted to declare the suspect," he said.

Lechumanan even requested direct attention from the National Police Chief and the Deputy National Police Chief. He hopes that the case that has attracted public attention will soon receive legal clarity."Well, I will continue to push, I ask the National Police Chief, and then the Deputy National Police Chief, to immediately pay attention to this case," he said.

He also threatened to report the investigator handling the case to the Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters if there are no developments in the near future. According to him, the public has the right to obtain legal certainty.
