The Reason Irish Bella Presents a Horror Film as Her Debut as an Executive Producer

The beautiful actress Irish Bella is now stepping into a new role behind the scenes as an Executive Producer in the film titled SINS: REDEMPTION OR FORGIVENESS. This horror film is the first work from the production house Has Pictures, which is scheduled to greet audiences on June 11, 2026.

Irish Bella explained that the choice of the horror genre for her first project was not without reason. She sees the potential of the horror film market in Indonesia is still very dominant, especially among adult audiences looking for adrenaline-pumping experiences in cinemas.

"That’s our first work from Has Pictures. And of course, if it’s the first, we want to give the best, right? That’s why we also chose a genre that is still very popular among Indonesian film audiences," said Irish Bella when met at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, on Monday (6/8/2026).

Irish's decision to dive in as a producer is based on the desire to provide quality entertainment. She acknowledges that the age range of her target audience has a great fondness for stories with a mystical nuance.

"Why do we choose horror? Because we can't deny that there are still a lot of fans of horror films, especially for our target audience, ages 17 and up. There are still many who enjoy horror films," she explained.

Irish also dismissed the negative assumption that the choice of the horror genre was made to save on production costs. According to her, the process of making this film actually incurs considerable expenses due to the technical complexities in the field.

"Indeed, there are a lot of treatments from the filming, then the CGI, the effects, and everything. So it is far from being cheap. There were many difficulties in this shooting that impacted, and there is a connection with the budget," said Irish.

The film Dosa: Redemption or Forgiveness tells the story of the calamity that befalls a married couple after violating their parents' prohibitions. Their journey turns into a terrifying terror in a mysterious old hotel.

Besides horror, Irish revealed that in the future, he plans to adapt popular podcast content from Has Creative into a feature film. He hopes this debut will receive a positive response from the public.

"Hopefully, with the success of this film, we will also have another film next time. Perhaps a different genre. And since we also come from Has Creative, and one of our prominent podcasts is PWK, we have plans, insya Allah, to request prayers for a film to be made," he concluded.
