Indah Permatasari Enjoys Shopping at Traditional Markets but Can't Bear to Bargain, Her Reason is Heartwarming

Behind the glitz of the entertainment world, actress Indah Permatasari actually has a simple side that is rarely exposed. This mother of one admits to being very fond of shopping for kitchen necessities at traditional markets. For her, the atmosphere and experience at the market provide a unique pleasure that she does not get at supermarkets.

Indah enthusiastically shares her reasons for preferring traditional markets. According to her, seeing the freshness of the products firsthand is its main attraction.

"If I shop, I've always been at the market since long ago, because for me shopping at the market is really fun. Seeing the vendors from the morning, and the fruits are fresh, the vegetables are fresh," said Indah Permatasari when met in the Sunter area, North Jakarta, Thursday (17/7/2025).

She added that shopping at the market provides a different experience. While everything is neatly arranged in supermarkets, at the market she can see the fresh fish that have just been taken out of their boxes, which she finds very enjoyable.

"For example, when shopping at the market, we can see the fish that are very, very fresh, just taken out of their boxes, which is really fun," she continued.

However, there is one unique habit revealed by Arie Kriting's wife. Although she is in a location known for bargaining, Indah admits that she rarely does it. It turns out, the reason is quite touching!

She often thinks about the small profits that the sellers might make from each item they sell. That feeling of compassion is what makes her reluctant to bargain excessively.

"Bargaining doesn't seem to be too much. Because sometimes I feel sorry if someone wants to bargain too much," she said.

"Sometimes I think like, the most I could gain is Rp5,000, Rp7,000, for one kilo or one bunch of kangkung, for example, that's very, very small. So it seems unnecessary to bargain too much," Indah concluded.
