Indra Bruggman Gathers Diana Pungky and Friends for One Episode Reunion Project

"Actually, I haven't been completely absent. Recently, I made one episode of a reunion project with Diana Pungky, Jaka, and Ivan Ray. It's a kind of comedy series similar to Jinny oh Jinny," said Indra Bruggman when met at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, recently.

Indra shared this during a meeting with the media. The project he referred to as a comedy series was created as a nostalgic moment, while also maintaining the closeness of the cast who once starred in Jinny oh Jinny.

1. The Reason Indra Bruggman Held a Reunion

The main reason for this project, according to Indra, is the desire to collaborate again and relieve the longing, especially with Diana Pungky whom he hasn't seen in a long time. He admitted that he hasn't met his co-star for almost two decades.

"Yes, I did gather them again so that we could reunite and work together. Because it feels like it's been almost 20 years since I last met Diana. So, since she is in the mood for shooting, we created a project together," Indra said.

Indra added that, unlike Ivan and Jaka whom he still often meets, contacting Diana is not that easy. The momentum came when Diana was willing to be in front of the camera again, thus the one-episode reunion project was realized.

2. The Challenge of Inviting Diana Back to Shoot

Inviting Diana Pungky to the shooting location is not a simple matter. Indra mentioned that Diana's decision is greatly influenced by her mood, a trait he admits is not much different from his own.

"Convincing Diana Pungky is indeed difficult. She is very dependent on her mood, actually quite similar to me," said Indra with a laugh.

Therefore, the reunion's execution waits for the right moment. Indra aligns the schedule and Diana's readiness, in line with his admission that this project materializes when Diana is in the mood to shoot again.

3. Old Crew Brought Back for Authentic Atmosphere

To maintain a familiar production atmosphere, Indra intentionally involved the same crew as during the Jinny oh Jinny era. The old creative team, from the director to the assistant director, was invited back to ensure that the flavor of the production remains similar.

"I miss it. That's why for the last project, we used the crew from the old Jinny oh Jinny days, from the director to the assistant director. This step was taken to keep the atmosphere and the production 'DNA' the same," said Indra.

This crew selection aims to preserve the work rhythm and the production language that the actors are already familiar with. Indra emphasized this step as a simple way to bring back the shooting atmosphere he misses.

4. Audience Response When Watching Togetherness

Indra mentioned that the public's response is always positive every time he shares moments of togetherness among the old cast of Jinny oh Jinny. According to him, the soap opera holds a special place in the hearts of the viewers.

"Every time I upload a photo with Diana, Jaka, or Ivan related to Jinny oh Jinny, the public response is always very good. For them, the show is not just an ordinary soap opera, but a part of their life journey," said Indra.

Indra also revealed that he often shares these moments of togetherness on social media. The posts showcase the faces that once colored the television screen in the past.
