Pasha Ungu Reveals Reasons for Rejecting Film with Kiesha Alvaro, Feels Not Ready

Kapanlagi.com - Pasha Ungu revealed that he has received several offers to act in films alongside his son, Kiesha Alvaro. Although he is well-known as the vocalist of the band Ungu and has been involved in the music industry for a long time, he chose to decline because he feels his acting skills are not sufficient.

Meeting with the media in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta, recently, Pasha mentioned that the offers came from several production houses. Most of them asked him to play the role of the father of the character portrayed by Kiesha. He believes there are other actors who are more suitable for that role.

"Ungu has already had one film. Yes, there are several who offered me to be Kiesha's father, basically to act alongside Kiesha. I know myself, it seems there isn't, just look for someone else," said Pasha.

Pasha conveyed that several projects that came were indeed designed to bring him together with Kiesha Alvaro on the same screen. His role format is generally as the father figure of the character played by his son.

On that occasion, he mentioned that Ungu once had a film. However, he did not immediately continue to the big screen as an actor because he believes that the acting world is different from the music stage that he has been in all this time.

He added that another consideration was to give space for actors who are deemed more suitable. According to him, that decision aligns with his belief in not forcing himself into offers that do not match his capacity.

2. Film Offer Komang Bumped into Schedule

Besides from the production house, the invitation to act in a film together also came directly from Kiesha. One of the projects that had offered him was the film Komang, where Pasha was again asked to be the father of the character played by his son.

Pasha mentioned that he was once interested. However, his already packed performance schedule and the necessity to shoot out of town made that plan difficult to realize. The production schedule that required him to fly to Baubau for several days clashed with other commitments that had been arranged earlier.

"Yes, there have been a few times. 'Hey, would you like to do this?' Sure. Including the one in Komang, they invited me. In Komang, they invited me to be the father, but at that time the schedule was difficult because I had to fly to Baubau for several days, while our schedule was already quite packed," he explained.

3. Admits Not Being Able to Act

Pasha emphasized that his main reason is not solely a matter of time. He realizes he does not yet have sufficient acting skills for a film. So far, his acting experience has mostly occurred in music video clips, so he does not feel ready to portray a character with the duration and depth required for a film.

"I, if I can't act. Yes, I only act in music videos, beyond that I don't dare," Pasha asserted.
