Kapanlagi.com - The police have once again arrested a public figure in connection with illegal drugs. The suspect with the initials JS was arrested around his management's basecamp located in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Thursday morning (15/4/2021).
Although the police have not disclosed the name of the suspect, they confirmed that the suspect is an actor.
"The soap opera actor and model with the initials JS, 23 years old, was arrested around the basecamp management in Jagakarsa," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Yusri Yunus, when contacted by KapanLagi.com via WhatsApp message.
Not alone, JS was apprehended with one of his colleagues around 00:30 AM. From the examination results, the police found evidence in the vehicle he was using.
"He was arrested with a colleague. Narcotics were found in his vehicle," added Yusri.
Currently, JS and his colleague are being held at the West Jakarta Police for further examination. In a separate occasion, the Head of Narcotics Unit of West Jakarta Police, AKBP Ronaldo Maradona Siregar, has not yet revealed further details regarding JS's arrest.
"We are still conducting a series of investigation processes. We will provide more detailed information later," he said.
From circulating rumors, JS is suspected to be Jeff Smith, a young actor who has starred in a series of soap operas such as Romeo & Juminten, Magic Tumbler, Cinderella Metropolitan, and many others.
