Instead of Becoming a Champion, A Portrait of Luvita Ho's Career Journey Who Initially Burned Her Cooking - No Desire to Register for Master Chef Indonesia

Luvita Ho shares her career journey on how she became the champion of Master Chef Indonesia Season 4. Quoted from the Youtube Channel Bicarakan ID, Luvita recounts her struggles in the field of cooking.

Not everything went smoothly, she admits that she initially couldn't cook. So how did she achieve her accomplishments up to this point?

This beautiful chef, born 29 years ago, initially dreamed of becoming an athlete. However, as time went by, her life direction began to change.

In addition to being interested in sports, Luvita is also known to have a talent for drawing. Her skills in this art show her creative side. However, this artistic talent is not Luvita's only advantage.

One day, by chance, Luvita watched Master Chef US Season 1. The show opened her eyes to the culinary world. In that program, Luvita saw chefs demonstrating extraordinary skills, and she thought that these chefs had high credibility that made the cooking world seem very professional.

The experience of watching Master Chef US Season 1 made Luvita even more interested and curious about the world of cooking. Her interest, which initially focused only on sports and art, began to develop towards culinary, until cooking eventually became an important part of her life.

Luvita also shares her journey of how she came to love the world of cooking.

"I am a person with a high sense of curiosity, since then (watching Master Chef US season 1) I liked to casually cook at home at the age of 15, but it was really bad, like really bad. There was even a time I fed my dog, and my dog didn’t want to eat, it was that bad," she said.

<nil>

The host then asked why her dog didn’t want to eat? "Because it was that bad, the result (of my cooking) seemed like if someone ate it, they could die because it was burnt black," she replied.

<nil>

But because of those cooking failures, Luvita became even more motivated because she believes she has a high competitive spirit.

<nil>

Luvita is the type of person who enjoys the process. She prefers to compare her current self with her past self rather than comparing herself with others.

<nil>

At the same opportunity, Luvita was initially a basketball player and then was drawn to volleyball. She told the volleyball coach that she couldn't play volleyball, but it was the coach's words that ignited Luvita's spirit.

<nil>

"You’re not that you can’t (play volleyball), you just can’t do it yet," said the volleyball coach. Those words struck Luvita. So whenever Luvita couldn’t do something, she always remembered her coach’s words.

<nil>

"So since then, I want to commit to cooking, whether I can or can't, just go for it, the important thing is to focus. I'm really focused, though," she said.

<nil>

"Every day I spend my time just reading books, cooking for 15 years, at 16, 17 years old I decided to focus on pastry. Because I am very, very bad at making pastry, my cakes burn. So I can cook but I can't bake at all," continued this beautiful chef born in 1995.

<nil>

"At the age of 18, 19, 20 suddenly Master Chef appeared, and at that time I actually didn't want to join, I was just registered" she recounts.

<nil>

So according to Luvita, when Master Chef Indonesia was held, the committee offered several tourism schools or hospitality schools to send their representatives to participate in Master Chef Indonesia.

<nil>

Luvita initially felt insecure compared to some participants in Master Chef Indonesia who had more experience and flight hours than her. Because she could be considered the youngest participant when auditioning for Master Chef Indonesia.

On the other hand, she decided not to continue her education in college and focused on learning to cook after high school. Luvita's hard work paid off; she became the champion of MCI season 4, and she herself did not expect that.
