Insufficient Evidence in Online Prostitution Case, ST and MY Sent Home

Kapanlagi.com - Last night, Thursday (26/11), two artists who were caught engaging in online prostitution, ST and MY, were sent home from North Jakarta Police Station. Both of them were only questioned as witnesses in the case involving their pimp.

These two artists were only detained for one day. After the interrogation, the police sent them back home.

"As witnesses, we only have the authority for 24 hours," said the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner Sudjarwono, on Friday (27/11).

1. Reasons for Being Sent Back

The police sent ST and MY back because they did not have enough evidence to detain them. However, if there is other evidence, both of them can be called back.

The man who ordered the services of ST and MY is only considered a witness. The one who was detained and became a new suspect is the pimp of these artists.

"Because the evidence to incriminate everyone is not yet complete. If later it is complete, at least two pieces of evidence (can be detained). God willing, if we obtain other evidence, we can proceed with the investigation," Sudjarwono continued.

2. Motives for Engaging in Prostitution

From the investigation conducted by the investigators, it was found that the motive for ST and MY engaging in prostitution is an economic issue. For one service, these two artists set a fee of Rp 80 million.

The artists receive Rp 30 million, while the pimp receives Rp 50 million. For this case, the profit obtained by the pimp is Rp 50 million. "But during her time as a pimp, it's around 200 - 300 million," he concluded.
