Police Reveal the Chronology of the Arrest of Artist Vernita Syabilla on Allegations of Prostitution

Kapanlagi.com - Artist VS or Vernita Syabilla is involved in a prostitution case. The 27-year-old woman was apprehended in a hotel room in Bandar Lampung along with two others who are suspected of being pimps.

In a press release by the Bandar Lampung Police on Thursday (30/7), the Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Commissioner Pol Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, revealed the chronology of the incident. The arrest was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bandar Lampung Police on Tuesday afternoon (28/7) in a star-rated hotel.

"The team successfully apprehended two individuals who are suspected of being pimps and a woman with the initials RH or VS who is suspected of engaging in prostitution in one of the rooms," said Commissioner Pol Zahwani.

"Based on the investigation, the two pimps admitted to setting a fee for the services provided by the woman who is suspected to be an artist, amounting to 30 million Indonesian Rupiah, with the pimps receiving 10 million Rupiah. Each party involved in the transaction received 5 million Rupiah," he added.

1. Still a Witness

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police explained the process of the transaction in this alleged prostitution case. This action started from the two pimps who offered prostitution services. Currently, Vernita Syabilla is still a witness, while the other two individuals who are suspected to be pimps are considered suspects.

"Offering prostitution services via mobile phone to potential clients by having the potential clients transfer a certain amount of money, providing agreed-upon accommodations and facilities. Currently, two suspects with the initials MK and MNA have been identified, while RH alias VS is still considered a witness," said the Head of Public Relations.

2. Apologizing to the Family

In addition, Vernita Syabilla finally apologized to her family for the unpleasant news about her. For her, the recent circulating news may not necessarily be true.

"Thank you to everyone, especially I apologize to my family who were shocked by the circulating news, the rumors, and the unproven truths," said Vernita Syabilla on the same occasion.
