Involved in the Short Movie 'DON'T FORCE LONGING', Achmad Megantara Tells About the Relaxed Shooting Process

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Achmad Megantara has been cast as the main character in the latest short film directed by Ifan Seventeen, adapted from the viral song Don’t Force Longing. Megantara himself admitted that he really enjoyed his involvement in this project that combines elements of music and acting.

Unlike the usual feature film productions that tend to be rigid and full of pressure, Megantara felt a very warm atmosphere during the shooting process. He mentioned that the communication among the crew and actors was very fluid, allowing him to give his best performance without feeling burdened.

"Yes, that’s what I mentioned earlier; the process was really enjoyable like that. So usually when we are shooting a film, it seems like everything has to be taken seriously like that," said Achmad Megantara when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Friday (10/4/2026).

"But when we were working on the music video for Don’t Force Longing, from the moment we got there, we kept talking. A little break, we talked again. The whole process was really relaxed while working on it. So I hope that even though the process was relaxed, we still take it seriously, but we want the results to be maximal," he added.

Director Jastis Arimba also shared his thoughts on this project. According to him, the strong foundation of the story from the song lyrics makes it easier for him to present a more complex drama. He hopes to continue being trusted by Ifan Seventeen to guide this project to the next stage.

Jastis wants to ensure that the message Ifan wants to convey through his song can be visualized accurately. He is currently conducting research to incorporate elements of comedy and more colorful drama so that this film can meet the expectations of all parties involved.

"Yes, I'm happy because, as mentioned by Mr. Aves and Mas Ifan, the lyrics of the song have a strong storytelling aspect," he said.
