Kapanlagi.com - Irish Bella and Haldy Sabri revealed their reasons for choosing to undergo the IVF program in Malaysia after previously trying a similar program in Jakarta. The couple also shared the process they went through until they were finally declared pregnant.
"In Malaysia, it was really because of a friend's recommendation. And secondly, Malaysia is well-known in Southeast Asia for the pregnancy process, which is why we decided to try there," said Haldy Sabri when met by KapanLagi in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026).
The success of the program did not come instantly. The first attempt in Malaysia initially failed before they succeeded on the second try, with results that Haldy described as satisfactory.
The decision of Irish Bella and Haldy to go to Malaysia was made after they first tried the IVF program in Jakarta. This step was taken based on input from close friends.
Haldy mentioned that a friend's recommendation was the main trigger for them to consider the healthcare facilities there. Moreover, he believes that the reproductive services ecosystem in Malaysia is well-established for the regional area.
Another consideration that Haldy mentioned is the reputation of pregnancy processes in Malaysia, which is well-known in Southeast Asia. This factor convinced both of them to try the IVF program in that country.

Haldy acknowledged that success was not achieved on the first attempt. After moving to Malaysia, their initial efforts did not yield results.
"It was still a failure at the beginning. The first one failed, the second one was successful. And the results were quite good; we got a lot of eggs, the second time," explained Haldy.
From that statement, Haldy emphasized that success came on the second attempt. He also assessed that the results were satisfactory, including the number of eggs obtained in that effort.
Since being declared pregnant, Irish Bella has started to adjust her activities in the entertainment world. She shared that the news of her pregnancy coincided with the schedule for the film's release in theaters.
"Actually, when I found out I was pregnant, it was right when we released the film in theaters. I was feeling really nauseous and my schedule was packed. So after that, I minimized my activities a little bit," said Irish.
Nevertheless, Irish assures that she will not completely stop working. She aims for a more measured work rhythm compared to before.
"But maybe in the future, I will still work, but not as actively as before," Irish stated.
Regarding restrictions, Irish mentioned that there are no specific prohibitions from the doctor during her current pregnancy. The main recommendation she follows is to have total rest after medical procedures.
"There are no restrictions, just bed rest that I need to maintain after the procedure. So far, that's all there is," concluded Irish.
