Fifth IVF Attempt, Denny Sumargo Ready to Stop if It Fails Again

Denny Sumargo and his wife, Olivia Allan, are once again undergoing the IVF program. This step marks the fifth attempt after facing various obstacles in previous efforts.

"We will try one more time, if it really doesn't work, then we will stop. Because we have failed four times already. So this is the last one, the fifth attempt. Please pray for us, that's all," said Denny Sumargo when met in the Warung Buncit area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/08/2026).

Denny emphasized that their limit for this attempt is on this program. If it is unsuccessful, he and Olivia choose to stop and surrender, while asking for prayers for a smooth process.

1. Fifth Step and Business Limits

The decision to undergo the IVF program for the fifth time was made after four previous attempts ended in failure. Denny referred to the latest trial as the maximum limit they agreed upon.

Regarding hopes, Denny admitted to having a preference but is still accepting of whatever the outcome may be. "If we are given a choice, I would prefer a boy. But if a girl is given, that's fine too. If nothing is given, that's okay as well. Because we are already very grateful to have Biel," he said.

The presence of their daughter, Gabriella Allan Sumargo or Biel, is a strong reason for the couple to remain calm in facing the process they are undergoing. Their gratitude for Biel serves as a foundation in determining their next steps.

2. Denny Sumargo's Support for Olivia Allan

Denny referred to Biel as a great blessing for his small family. He recalled the long waiting process until Biel's arrival, which took four years.

"Ci Olive had miscarriages about three times, four times, so one is enough, more than enough," said Denny.

With that experience, Denny fully supports Olivia to remain calm and not feel burdened. He maintains a conducive atmosphere at home while following the medical team's guidance.

3. Ongoing Medical Stages

Currently, Olivia has entered a crucial phase in the series of programs. Denny explained that the medical stages have reached the process of egg retrieval and embryo formation.

"The process has reached the egg retrieval and embryo process. Last time, please pray that everything goes smoothly. And what else, Ci Olive is also not too stressed," he revealed.

In addition to asking for prayers, Denny focuses on maintaining his wife's mental and emotional condition. He hopes that the entire process goes smoothly until the final stage, as per the doctor's instructions.
