It's Official! Masayu Clara and Qausar Harta Are Married - Giving 100 Grams of Precious Metal as Dowry and Holding the Ceremony at the Mosque

Kapanlagi.com - Happiness seems to surround the couple Masayu Clara and Qausar Harta. This is because they have officially married at Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, on Friday (20/5).

The ijab kabul ceremony went smoothly. Qausar was able to recite the ijab kabul without hesitation.

"Ananda Qausar Harta Yudana bin Suhardini, I marry and unite you with my daughter Masayu Clara Adillah Octaviani binti Mas Agus Hasyim Toni, with a dowry of 30 grams of precious metal paid in cash," said Toni, Masayu Clara's father.

"I accept the marriage of Masayu Clara Adillah Octaviani binti Mas Agus Hasyim Toni with the dowry paid in cash," replied Qausar with a deep breath.

1. Held with Sundanese Customs

In addition, the wedding of Masayu Clara and Qausar Harta was held with Sundanese customs. They looked handsome and beautiful in the clothes they wore.

Interestingly, the witnesses at the wedding were the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet, and the Regent of Trenggalek, Mochamad Nur Arifin.

2. Masayu's Dream

The selection of the location for the akad (Islamic wedding ceremony) was not arbitrary. Apparently, this has been Masayu Clara's dream for a long time.

"Why did I choose Istiqlal Mosque? First, it's been my dream to get married in a mosque, on a Friday, after Asr prayer, and thank God, the mosque in Jakarta that is central is Istiqlal. So why did we choose here? Because we want it to be central. We want it to be more solemn if it's in a mosque," said Masayu Clara after the wedding ceremony at Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, on Friday (20/5).

"Hopefully, by holding it in a mosque on Friday and after Asr prayer, it will be a better blessing for us," she added.

3. Gold Bullion Dowry

Meanwhile, for their wedding, Qausar gave 30 mayam of gold bullion. Each mayam consists of 3.33 grams of gold.

"The dowry is 30 mayam, in Aceh it's called mayam, which means grams. So mayam is the term for grams in Aceh. One mayam is 3.33 grams. There are 30 mayam, or approximately 100 grams," said Qausar Harta.

Qausar also said that there is a special meaning behind the 30 mayam gold dowry he gave to his wife. In addition, he intended for the dowry he gave to be an investment for Masayu Clara in the future.

"I gave 30 because of my age this year, so I gave it in that amount. In the form of mayam, in the form of gold bullion, because it's also for my investment in the future. It's just a mutual agreement," said Qausar.

4. No Special Requests

In addition, Masayu Clara admitted that she did not have any special requests for Qausar regarding the dowry. Because all wedding preparations are a mutual agreement.

"No, before I ask, we have discussed it together. Brother has already informed me beforehand, I might be able to give this much, in the form of valuables, precious metals," concluded Masayu Clara.
