Family Accuses Pallavi Dey's Boyfriend Still Married, Ex-Wife Sagnik Chakraborty Speaks Out

Kapanlagi.com - Sagnik Chakraborty was arrested by Kolkata police after being questioned for 18 hours. He was questioned in connection with the death of actress Pallavi Dey, who was found dead on Sunday (15/5/2022).

Pallavi and Sagnik had been living together in a luxury apartment purchased by the actress in the southern Kolkata area. Sagnik was the one who discovered the actress's body and reported the case to the police.

At the request of Pallavi's family, Sagnik was questioned by investigators. Based on the investigation, the police decided to arrest Sagnik.

1. Reportedly Still Married

Pallavi's family claims that Sagnik Chakraborty is still married. That's why they did not approve of Pallavi's relationship with Sagnik.

However, this was denied by Sukanya Manya, Sagnik's ex-wife. She confirmed that her marriage to Sagnik had ended and Pallavi did not have a relationship with her ex-husband while they were still married.

Sukanya even knew Pallavi when she and Sagnik were married. When they got married, Pallavi was also invited to their wedding ceremony.

"Pallavi used to be my friend and she was invited when we registered our marriage," said Sukanya as quoted by Shethepeople.tv.

2. Impossible to Kill

In addition to revealing her relationship with Sagnik and Pallavi, Sukanya also defended her ex-husband. She claimed to know her ex-husband well, so it is impossible for Sagnik to kill someone as accused by Pallavi's family.

"I have known him for almost 7 years. I don't think he can kill someone," said Sukanya.

Sagnik's figure became a public talk after Pallavi's death. From the investigation, the police said that Sagnik had just become unemployed after closing his office.

To the police, Sagnik claimed to work in the data center field. However, the police found many irregularities from Sagnik's confession, so they will conduct further investigations.

Now Sagnik is detained not only for Pallavi's death case. The deceased's family also reported Sagnik for fraud and financial cases of the actress which were not small in value.
