Realizing Late Mom's Dream, Mahalini Cries During Acting Debut

Kapanlagi.com - Mahalini Raharja is known as a singer who came from the talent search event Indonesian Idol. However, since the end of last year, Rizky Febian's girlfriend has also tried her luck in the acting world.

Lini, as she is familiarly called, made her acting debut in a film titled KAPAN PINDAH RUMAH where she played the third child character in a small family. In the second film titled KOPI PAHIT, the 22-year-old played a character of a wife who is in conflict with her husband.

1. Difficult to Act Crying

Acting is not foreign to Mahalini Raharja. Because since junior high school to high school, she actively participated in theater extracurricular activities at school. However, until now, she has difficulty when asked to act crying.

"I have been involved in theater since junior high school to high school. But I find it very difficult to act when I'm crying. Actually, I'm having a hard time crying, the child is holding it in, but it's difficult to cry," said Lini when met at the Falcon Pictures office in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/5/2022).

2. Crying Remembering Mom

In the movie KOPI PAHIT directed by Herwin Novianto, Mahalini Raharja played the role of Nuca's wife. There is a scene where she has to be angry until she cries. So, how did Lini, who has difficulty crying, manage to shed tears?

"So I have to remember something. Yesterday when I was acting, I remembered my mom who had passed away, I played songs that reminded me of her. I finally cried because I remembered her, not because of the scenario," said the singer of the song Aku Yang Salah.

3. Realizing Mom's Dream

Since adolescence, Mahalini Raharja has been learning acting in theater. However, the desire to enter the film industry is because she wants to realize her late mother's dream.

"It was my mom's dream that I could act. She wanted me to act with someone. Before she passed away, she said, 'I want to see you in a movie'," Lini recalled.
