Adam Deni Admits to Meeting Ahmad Sahroni in Bali Before Reporting to Police: If You Want to Be Friends, I Guarantee It's Fun

Kapanlagi.com - Adam Deni, who is a defendant in a case of alleged violation of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (ITE) reported by Ahmad Sahroni, testified in court that he had a good relationship with the complainant before being reported to the authorities.

"Ahmad Sahroni, I don't know how he got my personal phone number, he made a call on WhatsApp and apologized for offending social media activists," Adam Deni said in court at the North Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (18/5).

"Then he invited me to be friends and invited me to vacation in Bali to have a meeting there. That's the beginning of the chronology," Adam Deni added.

1. Not Immediately Agree

Receiving the offer, Adam Deni did not immediately agree to Ahmad Sahroni's invitation. Because he was constantly persuaded, Adam Deni finally agreed because he thought it was a sign of friendship.

"I said many times 'Brother, I don't want to. It's better if we meet in Jakarta.' He said to me. 'Why don't you want to be friends with me. If you're friends with me, I guarantee it will be enjoyable,'" said Adam Deni.

"I am a young man, I need relationships for my future. That's why I went to Bali," explained Adam Deni.

Adam Deni's trip to Bali was fully covered by Ahmad Sahroni. Starting from the plane ticket, hotel and all the necessities needed while in Bali.

"It has been settled, but when I met him, I asked for a reimbursement for my transportation for 12 days in Bali, which was only replaced with Rp 5 million. We see how crazy rich he is," regretted Adam Deni.

3. Heartbroken

After that, Adam Deni felt heartbroken and he said there was another thing that made him heartbroken. Until finally, that became the beginning of Adam Deni finally digging up the personal data of Ahmad Sahroni's bike purchase given by the two defendants, Ni Made Dwita.

"Heartbroken because it turned out that AS had no commitment to me. Besides, he said that if I was friends with him, my life would be enjoyable," said Adam Deni.

After uploading personal data on his social media, Ahmad Sahroni did not stay quiet and reported it along with Ni Made Dwita for allegedly uploading his personal information on social media without permission.

Now the case faced by Adam Deni and Ni Made Dwita is already ongoing in court. For their actions, the prosecutor has charged Adam Deni and Dwita with Article 48 Paragraph (3) jo Article 32 Paragraph (3) of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) as amended and supplemented by Law Number 19 of 2016 Jo Article 55 Paragraph (1) ke-1 of the Criminal Code.
