It's Over! This is the Ending of Desiree Tarigan and Hotma Sitompul's Feud Because of the 'Tembok Prahara'

Kapanlagi.com - The household turmoil of renowned lawyer Hotma Sitompul and Desiree Tarigan has reached a peaceful resolution. Both have signed a peace agreement on Friday, December 17, 2021.

The signing, as evidence in black and white, was done separately even though an agreement had been reached a month earlier. Mediator lawyer Otto Hasibuan admitted that he did not bring them together for fear of another conflict.

"The agreement was made last Friday, even though they had actually made peace a month ago, it was just a technical issue. They couldn't meet for the signing. I took a gamble, afraid that they wouldn't make peace. So one waited in a different place, while the other signed first," Otto said during a press conference in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday night (23/12/2021).

1. Very Annoying

Otto Hasibuan had a total of twelve meetings with Hotma Sitompul and Desiree Tarigan. The peace between this couple is very annoying, especially when discussing the separating wall between the residences they used to live in and Desiree's mother's house.

"Desi wants it to be demolished, but Hotma says it's not allowed. Hotma just wants to be paid if the wall becomes a problem. But Desi doesn't want to because it's not about money, it's about principles because it's her mother's land. This was difficult because one could pay, while the other refused. Other matters were easy, but this took a long time," explained Otto.

2. Issue of Self-Esteem

This wall issue may seem trivial to others. But not for Hotma Sitompul and Desiree Tarigan because it concerns their self-esteem as human beings.

"It seems trivial about the wall, and the cost is not much either. But this is a serious matter because it involves our self-esteem, our pride. It may seem small to us, but it's a big deal for them. It's a simple thing, but that's how people argue," said Otto.

3. Resolution of the Wall Problem

Regarding the wall, Hotma Sitompul agreed to dismantle it. This was done after Desiree Tarigan provided one meter of land for her husband to build a new wall.

"Regarding the wall, it was agreed that Desi would give a one-meter distance to Hotma so as not to damage the existing swimming pool. So the wall that has been a problem will be demolished and moved back. It is still in Ribu's land area. Desi provided one meter for the construction of the wall there," explained Otto.

4. Hotma Sitompul Files for Divorce

In addition to the wall issue, Hotma Sitompul and Desiree Tarigan have decided to divorce. Hotma will be the one to file for divorce in court. This is related to the division of joint assets.

"Hotma and Desiree have peacefully resolved their disputes. Peaceful means that they are still getting divorced because they can no longer be united. But regarding the disputes over assets and other matters that arise between them, they have reached an agreement," Otto explained.
