"High school. Same school. Coincidentally, I just entered the second grade and then she saw me. Back in the day, there was no confession, we just started dating like that," said Bambang.

"Coincidentally, we both entered UI. I was in the Faculty of Law and he was in FIS," continued Bambang, who had served as a diplomat in Bangkok.

At that time, Bambang's father was about to go abroad for work. Bambang was told to just get married. "Meanwhile, my father was leaving again (abroad). So they told me to get married, are you brave enough, they said," he recalled.

His mother didn't hesitate to agree to get married. Her reason was simple. "Sure, (let's get married), rather than being taken by someone else," she said with a small laugh.
