However, the public's curiosity seems to have to be held back. The South Jakarta Religious Court firmly refused to provide information regarding the reasons or the substance of the divorce lawsuit.

The spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, Abid, explained that although information regarding registration and trial schedules is open to the public, the substance of the trial, especially the reasons for divorce, is a matter that is confidential and closed to the public.

"There are questions, even requests that we must fulfill. Among them, for example, yes, information about registration. You may ask," said Abid in his office on Thursday (23/10/2025).

"What is not allowed is what is called the closed Religious Court, that is the trial process. That is not allowed," he asserted.

He also provided a clear boundary regarding what information he could share with the media.

"For example, regarding the reasons for the lawsuit, we cannot answer that, because it falls under the jurisdiction of the panel of judges," Abid continued.
