Jane Shalimar Admits Newly Knowing Her Marriage is Not Registered When Filing for Divorce

Recently, it was revealed that Jane and Arsya's marriage, which took place on February 20, 2020, is not registered at the KUA Teluk Jambe Timur, Karawang, West Java. Jane only found out about this when preparing the documents for her lawsuit.

"I just found out yesterday that it was not registered. I found out when I was about to file the lawsuit, I needed the marriage certificate, the marriage certificate, and it turned out it wasn't registered. So I can't file the lawsuit," said Jane when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/1/2021).

1. Married Status ID Card

Although she only recently found out that her marriage to Arsya Wijaya is not registered at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), Jane Shalimar admits that she already knew about her husband's marital status as stated in his ID card. It was said that Arsya was going to change it, but it turns out it hasn't been fixed yet.

"Regarding the ID card issue, I knew it from the beginning. He said he was going to take care of it but he never did," said the artist, who was known as a soap opera actress before entering politics.

2. Not Living Together Since October

Furthermore, Jane Shalimar revealed that she hasn't been living with Arsya since October. She made this decision after her husband divorced her. When she left, Jane didn't take the car that is currently being held by Arsya.

"Since October, I've been in Jakarta since the third divorce. There has been no communication, and he hasn't made any effort to contact me. He says to contact him but when I do, he ignores it and never answers," she concluded.
