At the coffin closing moment, Jerome not only gave a farewell message but also revealed the reason for choosing the cremation process for his late father, Marojahan Sintong Sijabat.

Jerome Polin's sorrow could not be hidden at the moment of his father's coffin closing. Tears accompanied the ceremony.
When his father took his last breath on October 30, 2025, Jerome wrote a short yet meaningful message: "Goodbye, Dad. Watch over us from there, okay?"
"Now it's our turn to continue your struggle, your kindness, your warmth, and your legacy," Jerome expressed in his post.
"I, brother Jehian, and Jesse will fight to take care of and make mom happy just as dad has always done. You will always be in our heart and mind, we love you, forever," Jerome said in his message.
The reason behind the decision for cremation or the arrangement of the body was also expressed by Jerome in front of the attendees at the coffin closing ceremony.Â
"Why cremation? Many people ask that. It was Papa's request from a long time ago. Since we were kids, Papa has said, 'Just cremate me,'" Jerome said on behalf of his family.Â
"First, it doesn’t cause trouble. And second, if he is buried, as Papa said, people will remember him there. But if he is cremated, it allows Papa to live on in our memories. So that was all Papa's request," Jerome said with determination.Â
