Jikustik Recycles Song 'Pujaan Hatiku', Revealing the Fact That 10 Years Ago There Was a Plan to Be Sung by a Famous Dangdut Singer

Kapanlagi.com - Jikustik once again shakes the music industry of the homeland through a song titled Pujaan Hatiku (Alter Version). The release of this single becomes a bridge to the mini album entitled Back 4 Good.

Pujaan Hatiku (Alter Version) is a recycle of a song released ten years ago. The additional information in parentheses apparently confirms Jikustik's return to its roots.

"As the creator, the process of arrangement and new delivery style in this song is so satisfying. Because now the song has a very different nuance. I almost forgot that this song is the result of the same work ten years ago," said Adhitya Bagaskara as the creator, as quoted from the text message received by KapanLagi.com, Saturday (14/10/2023).

Furthermore, Adhitya Bagaskara revealed a unique fact behind the creation of the old version of the song Pujaan Hatiku. Apparently, the song was going to be performed by a well-known dangdut singer.

"There is an interesting story that is unknown to Jikustik fans. When I finished creating the song Pujaan Hatiku, there was a plan for it to be sung by a very famous dangdut singer among Indonesian music lovers," said Adhitya.

2. Icha Aji Adds a Magical Nuance

So it's no wonder that the ten-year-old version of the song Pujaan Hatiku has a Malay influence. That's what was changed in the recycled version performed by Icha Aji.

"That's why some parts of this song have a strong Malay influence. As musicians, all Jikustik members gave their best to create the current work. Especially Icha, who managed to perform it perfectly, adding an extraordinary magical nuance," concluded the Jikustik keyboardist.
