Written by Adinda Maulidya Ninggar

Drake officially released FOR ALL THE DOGS as his 8th studio album on October 6th. Interestingly, the cover of the album FOR ALL THE DOGS features a white dog with red eyes, drawn by Adonis Graham, Drake's 5-year-old son. In addition, the special thing about this album is that Drake embraces two different music genres and collaborates with several top artists. This creates great anticipation from Drake's music fans. However, unfortunately, Drake decided to take a break after releasing his new album. So, why did he do that? While listening to Drake's new songs, let's find out the facts about FOR ALL THE DOGS and the reasons why Drake chose to take a break!

Initially, FOR ALL THE DOGS was scheduled to be released on September 22, according to reports from Pitchfork. If released in September, this album will compete with SCARLET by Doja Cat, with her hit song Paint The Town Red recently topping the charts. Hm, if it happens, who do you think will be number one?

Unfortunately, the release of FOR ALL THE DOGS was postponed to October 6. This happened because he was still on the It's All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage, a famous rapper from America. They are reportedly going to finish their tour on October 9, with the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio as their final stop.

According to reports from Pitchfork, Drake announced the release of FOR ALL THE DOGS in June by releasing his poetry book, TITLES RUIN EVERYTHING. Drake included a QR code that leads to a website he set up through newspaper ads to promote his book. Drake included a short message that said, “I made an album to go with the book.” and wrote “FOR ALL THE DOGS” on the closing part.

Before releasing FOR ALL THE DOGS in its entirety, Drake previously released a single for this album with SZA. The single titled Slime You Out was released on September 15th, KLovers. This song marks the first collaboration with the singer whose real name is Solána Imani Rowe. This song certainly achieved success by reaching the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on September 30th. So, have you listened to it yet?

The success of that single doesn't always lead to good things, KLovers. In fact, Drake was involved in a controversy with Halle Berry. Oh no, why is that? Apparently, this Canadian rapper used a photo of Halle Berry when she was being slimed at the NICKELODEON KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS in 2012. Halle then stated that Drake did not have permission from her to use that photo.

Not only collaborating with SZA, Drake also invited 21 Savage in the song Calling For You, First Person Shooter with J. Cole, Another Late Night with Lil Yachty, and Gently with his girlfriend Kendall Jenner, Bad Bunny.

According to BBC, a few hours after Drake released FOR ALL THE DOGS, he revealed that he has had stomach problems for years. "I may not make music for a while," he said on Friday on a radio show. It can be concluded that Drake plans to take a hiatus or break due to health issues.

Several shows have been postponed after he announced his break. Making fans even sadder, Drake admitted that he also doesn't know when he will return. "Maybe a little longer," said Drake.
