Johny Indo Passed Away, Grandson Delivers Good Message from the Indonesian Robin Hood

Kapanlagi.com - Actor who was popular in the 70s, Johny Indo, passed away this morning, Sunday (26/1). Johny Indo died at the age of 72. From the statement of his grandson, Santa, when contacted by phone, it was known that the actor, who was also dubbed as the Indonesian Robin Hood, had a history of hernia disease that had been suffered for quite a long time.

"Actually, he's already old (Johny Indo), he used to have a hernia, but we had surgery for about less than a month," said Santa explained.

Furthermore, the grandson of Johny Indo said that his grandfather would be buried using a Christian procession. This was done because during his illness, Johny Indo was taken care of by his first wife, who was also a pastor.

"It's been a few months, he lived with us, with the family. Then his wife took care of him directly. His wife is a pastor. He also stated that he will join us spiritually," Santa explained.

1. Emphasize Good Deeds to Grandchildren

When asked about the message from their grandfather during his lifetime, Santa mentioned that Johny Indo always emphasized to his grandchildren to do good deeds and always be beneficial to others.

"He always teaches them to be good, nothing bad ever happens, he doesn't even feel pain, he doesn't want to bother his children, so sometimes he does everything himself, even though walking is already difficult at his age," Santa concluded.

2. Former Gold Shop Robber

Aside from being famous for starring in several films such as Badai Jalanan, Langka-Langkah Pasti, and Daerah Jagoan, Johny Indo's name also became well-known due to his involvement in a gold shop robbery in 1979. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison, and it was later revealed that the main motive behind Johny Indo's robbery was to provide sustenance to the poor community. Because of his actions, he was dubbed as the Robin Hood of Indonesia.
