Condolences, Indonesian 'Robin Hood' Johny Indo Passed Away

This news was confirmed by Santa, Joni Indo's grandson, when contacted by phone on Sunday (26/1). He said that his grandfather passed away at 07:45. "Yes, at 7:45, 5 minutes after he passed away, we were informed," he said.

He also said that the cause of his grandfather's death was due to old age. However, Santa said that his grandfather had a history of hernia.

"Actually, he was already old, he had a hernia before, but we had surgery about less than a month ago, then his daughter, Dr. Eva, went out so he was alone, he fell, and finally he was hospitalized. Now he lives with his wife, Mrs. Stelavia, in Tangerang, he can't get up maybe because of the fall, we have taken him to the doctor and he was treated directly but he couldn't get up. Last night, he still wanted to eat eagerly in the afternoon but in the evening, he started refusing to eat, he vomited in the morning and suddenly disappeared," he said.

Johnny Indo himself was quite well-known during the 70s to early 80s. He robbed the rich, but did not enjoy the fruits of his crimes himself, instead giving them to the poor people in need.

That's why he got the nickname Robin Hood of Indonesia. Now he has repented and become a preacher, even changing his name to Ki Umar Billah Al-Jhon Indo.
