Kapanlagi.com - A flash flood dragged five motorcycles and their riders in Malang, East Java. Suddenly, water mixed with mud and rocks came from the area above, dragging the motorcyclists passing through the location.
The flash flood occurred in Petungsewu Village, Dau District, allegedly due to rainfall that was not accommodated by the available river flow. Heavy rainfall poured in the Dau District area, Malang Regency, and its surroundings on Friday (24/1) afternoon.
Kasubbag Humas Polres Malang, Ipda Nining Kusumawati explained that the water came suddenly after heavy rain. The flood came from the river that divides Petungsewu and Tegalweru villages.
"The flash flood occurred because the river could not accommodate the rainwater, causing it to overflow onto the road and drag the motorcycle riders passing through," said Ipda Nining Kusumawati, on Saturday (25/1).
