Joining in the soap opera 'Dia Yang Kau Pilih', Aqeela Calista is afraid of facing public protests because of the character's older age

Kapanlagi.com - Young star Aqeela Calista joins SCTV's flagship soap opera titled Dia Yang Kau Pilih. She plays the character named Bella, who is the younger sister of Kinara, played by Zoe Abbas Jackson.

Aqeela revealed that Bella's character is quite the opposite of Kinara. While Bella is described as outspoken, Kinara is more gentle.

"I play Bella, Kinara's younger sister. Bella's character is the opposite of Kinara, she is more outspoken," said Aqeela in a recent Zoom interview.

1. Afraid of Looking Like a Teenager

Aqeela Calista said that playing Bella was her first adult role. Therefore, she was afraid that people would still see her as a child. However, that fear was dismissed when the public's response to her character was revealed.

"Honestly, Bella's character is much older than me, so I was a bit afraid of looking like a teenager. So I did some research on what Bella is like because I was afraid. But it turns out that people don't see it that way. Thank God. Maybe it's because the look is different too," said Aqeela.

2. Childish Character

Furthermore, Aqeela Calista understands why the audience does not have a problem with the character of Bella that she plays. Because as Kinara's younger sister, Bella is also portrayed as childish.

"Although Bella is mature in terms of age, she also has a childish side because she is Kinara's younger sister," said the fifteen-year-old girl.
