Drummer Govinda decided to run as a legislative candidate (Bacaleg) for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from the National Mandate Party (PAN). Jeje himself stated that his decision to enter the political world has no connection with the news about his household with a woman who is familiarly called Nanas some time ago.
It is known that Lady Nayoan exposed allegations of infidelity committed by her husband, Rendy Kjaernett, with Jeje's wife, Syahnaz Sadiqah. Later, Jeje forgave Nanas for her actions.
"Actually, there is no connection. We already knew each other (the party officials) before this issue, but maybe the timing was just right," he said.

In addition, Jeje also doesn't want to bother with the comments from netizens about his decision to enter the world of politics as an opportunistic move due to allegations of his wife's infidelity. "There have always been a lot of negative comments. I'm used to it," he concluded.
