Kalista Iskandar, West Sumatra Representative, Confused When Asked to Mention Pancasila in the Top 6 Round of Miss Indonesia 2020

Kapanlagi.com - The Puteri Indonesia 2020 event held last night, Friday (6/3), has become a hot topic on social media. Not only because of Ayu Maulida's victory as the representative of East Java, but also because of the figure of Kalista Iskandar, the representative of West Sumatra.

Kalista Iskandar suddenly went viral because of her moment in the top 6 round of Puteri Indonesia 2020. Like the other finalists, she was required to answer questions posed by the judges.

Coincidentally, she received a question from the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Bambang Soesatyo. Unexpectedly, Bambang asked Kalista to mention Pancasila in its entirety.

1. Requested to Mention Pancasila

"Kalista, as we all understand, Indonesia is a great nation, which has 17,500 islands, 733 languages. We are fortunate to have Pancasila as the ideology and foundation of the state. My question is, does Kalista remember the five principles contained in Pancasila?" asked Bambang Soesatyo.

She was momentarily silent because she did not expect the question, this 21-year-old beautiful woman expressed her gratitude to Bambang. Required to answer the question for 30 seconds, she mentioned the first to the third principle smoothly.

2. Too Tense to Make a Mistake

Unfortunately, Kalista suddenly stumbled when mentioning the fourth principle, "Number four, humanity... Society led by wisdom, prudence, in deliberation... society, representation."

The audience who realized Kalista's mistake immediately cheered, making Kalista even more tense. She then mentioned the last principle with an incorrect answer, "Social humanity that is just and cultured."

However, the fourth principle should actually be, 'Democracy guided by the inner wisdom of deliberation and representation.' While the fifth principle in Pancasila is 'Social justice for all Indonesian people.'.

3. Bambang's Reaction

Upon hearing Kalista's stuttering and imperfect answer, Bambang still appreciates the representative from West Sumatra, "Thank you Kalista, you deserve to win."

The audience in the studio gave a resounding applause to Kalista. Unfortunately, due to that mistake, Kalista failed to advance to the top 3 round, which was achieved by Jihane Almira Chedid, the representative from Central Java, Rr. Ayu Maulida from East Java, and Putu Ayu Saraswati, the representative from Bali.

In this grand finale held on Friday (6/3/2020), the representative from East Java, Rr Ayu Maulida successfully obtained the title contested by dozens of beautiful women from various regions.

Mrs. Putri Kus Wisnuwardani, MBA as the Chief Advisor of the Miss Indonesia Foundation also attended and congratulated Ayu Maulida on being chosen as Miss Indonesia 2020.
