The news was shared on Instagram by Shalvynne Chang, the wife of Kartini's grandson, Richard Muljadi.
"Our beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother—a loving presence at the heart of our big family—who departed peacefully in Jakarta on October 20, 2025, at 17:03 WIB," she wrote.

Kartini Muljadi has long been known as a businesswoman and corporate lawyer. She has been recorded as having worked as a judge and notary. She is also one of the richest women in Indonesia.
Kartini Muljadi founded Tempo Scan Group, which is known as one of the largest pharmaceutical and consumer goods groups in Indonesia. Kartini Muljadi and her family were listed among the 50 richest people in Indonesia in 2021. Her net worth reached USD 695 million.
Kartini Muljadi has received various awards throughout her long career. One of the important awards is the Capital Market Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented by President Megawati Soekarnoputri in 2004.
